Dimapur, August 28 (MExN): The “GPRN/NSCN” today informed that ‘ato kilonser’ N Kitovi during his “interaction” with Dimapur Municipal Council members and business community leaders, has assured to “look into the grievances” faced by business establishments in Dimapur. A note from Alezo Venuh, ‘chaplee kilonser’ through the MIP informed that Kitovi had also granted “tax exemption” for local entrepreneurs and added “by which he meant that all Naga investors who establish/open new offices/shops would be exempted from paying annual tax to the GPRN/NSCN for a specific period only.”
“This is to encourage and assist local entrepreneurs to stand on their own feet during initial days of their business,” the note stated. Kitovi’s “pronouncement” of “non-taxation” on local businessmen “shall be applicable only to entrepreneurs who are in their first year of business.” All other local business establishments are informed that “regular tax,” as the note called it, will be “levied” under “existing format” issued by the group’s “chaplee ministry.” The MIP also made a correction that the contact number for it’s “chairman, UT I”, “for assistance and clarification” is 9856545248.
