The Pochury Region, GPRN/NSCN expresses our deepest grief over the dead of our four (4) four National Workers; (1) Mr. Sihachu, Leacy member, H/o Mrs. Puchi, Reguri Vill. (2) Mr. Ventsuthong, Khapur H/o Mrs. Chitsutshu, Avakhung Vill. (3) Maj. Yisiru H/o Mrs. Aso, Kiizatii Vill and (4) Pvte. Kasiru, S/o Lt. Sipichu, Reguri Vill. who were dragged out from their homes and shot dead by NSCN-K at Meluri Town on the 16th of December, 2012. The NSCN-K chaps in full combat swing shock Meluri Town a terrible surprise as they staged a search operation and apprehended our four Late comrades without any rhyme and reason and were shot right away. As we mourn in silent tears, we accolade our tribute to our fallen comrades for the highest sacrifices made and pray that Almighty God will grant peace and solace to the departed souls and take good care of their little children and family of whose dads’ and brother’s love has been snatched away from them.
The land of Pochury has broken down to a complete turmoil situation as a result of the repercussion of this ugly incident. This cold-blooded murder of the faultless has only once again revived a nightmare of the 1960’s Indian draconian Martial drama now remembered as the Pochury Black Day. Today the tireless efforts and spirits of the public leaders, the opinions and expression of the people are frozen up under duress of gun powers at hands of the persons in authority embraced in the name of Naga Nation. But the purpose is misunderstood – if killing ourselves is the cause, the purpose would have been achieved then long before we tread upon this earth. Killing a brother is not the way to reclaim victory of a nation.
Yes, we all felt the same pinch and anguish sentiment over the killing of our dear comrades. While our leaders are giving its best possible efforts to contain this wrecked situation glooming the mood of long awaited festive Christmas season, we appeal our Naga Army and civil workers to restrain from any reprisal move and rather concur with the Region authority to listen and respect the voices of the people which is the will of our Collective Leadership - His Excellency Gen. (Retd.) Inno. Khole Konyak, the President and Inno. N. Kitovi Zhimomi, Hon’ble Ato Kilonser, GPRN/NSCN. . Nagas are bound just for one purpose one aspiration one goal. Pochury will attain neither extra nor bonus share.
The all-out cry of the denizens over the land of Pochury is there for all to see. We understand that it is the will power exertion of time, energy and everything of the people that keeps the Naga Nation Living. We challenge every National worker to live up to the term “Nagaland For Christ” which is deeply embedded in the veins of Naga Nation for the future holds enough space to love and share.
