
Dimapur, August 27 (MExN): The “GPRN/NSCN” today said it will award the “harshest punishments” to those who continue to “tarnish the good image” of the group. This is in an effort “to check and control” the activities of “extortionists, kidnappers, anti-social elements and other criminals” who continue to “tarnish the good image” of the “GPRN/NSCN,” a note from its MIP stated. Hojei Swu, ‘kilonser and chairman, UTI’ warned of harshest punishment to those indulging in such activities and appealed to all communities in and around Dimapur “to be vigilant against imposters and criminals.” He also said that the “rampant extortion in Dimapur” must be “controlled and since it comes under the jurisdiction of UT I.” All shops and business establishments are asked to “co-operate with GPRN/NSCN to jointly tackle the menace.” The telephone number 9856545247 may be contacted for ‘inquiry or assistance,’ it added.
