Dimapur, November 13 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN (U) has expressed sorrow at the demise of Zhekiye Yepthomi, a Kilonser and Advisor to Collective Leadership (ACL) of GPRN/NSCN (U) led by President Gen (Retd) MB Neokpao Konyak and Ato Kilonser Alezo Venuh. Yepthomi hailed from Nikhekhu Village in Niuland District.
Paying tribute to his career, the GPRN/NSCN (U) noted that Yepthomi's journey in the Naga National Movement began in 1990 from “a humble beginning.” Through his “unwavering dedication and commitment,” he rose to the esteemed post of Kilonser. It described his leadership as “exemplary and selfless,” and characterised by “integrity, patriotism, sincerity, and loyalty.” It stated that his “lifelong devotion to the Naga Nation remains an enduring testament to his noble character.”
Yepthomi's passing was termed an “irreparable loss” not just to his family and community, but to the entire Naga Nation. His absence will be deeply felt by his friends, colleagues, and the entire organisation, GPRN/NSCN (U) said and paid “respect and homage to the departed soul” and prayed for Almighty God to grant “solace, strength, and comfort” to the bereaved family.
