GPRN/NSCN urged to take action against cadre

Meluri, November 15 (MExN): Pochury Hoho has condemned the November 4 incident at Sütsü village allegedly caused by Maj. Lopong of GPRN/NSCN.

A press release from Er. Vichutho Nyusou, Secretary, Pochury Hoho questioned the intention of Maj. Lopong in coming to the residence of Lüruri Development Council (LDC) president armed with pistol and gun at midnight on November 4. “Didn’t he use his authority of GPRN/NSCN for his selfish interest with uniform camouflaged. Is it not defaming our NPG brothers and sisters?” it asked.

The Hoho further termed it unfortunate that four calls were made to the Lüruri Development Council president and secretary with threat of killing by the GPRN/NSCN cadre if his demands were not fulfilled within 10 days. It stated that the accused had in the first place violated the standing order of the area by “forcefully employing some people to collect pine wood in Lüruri land.”

The Pochury Hoho strongly appealed to the authority of GPRN/NSCN to take stern action against its cadre “who had created unwanted activities for self interest” and supported the Lüruri Development Council’s demand to take disciplinary action against Lopong for his “anti people activity.”
