GPRN/NSCN urges safe release of cadres

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 20 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN has stated that in the backdrop of the “Naga Concordant signed by top Naga leaders aimed at finding a way towards a common ground for all Nagas”, it was “extremely unfortunate that IM members at Wokha took a negative step by arresting two GPRN/NSCN officials namely Leacy Mhondamo Ngullie and Lieutenant Wobamo near DC’s office on 19th October 2011”. “This action dampens the positive atmosphere of the Nagas since both GPRN/NSCN and IM are signatories of COR as well as the Naga Concordant”, stated the MIP note. The press note urged the NSCN (IM) authorities to ensure safe release of detained officials and also educate regional workers to uphold the commitments made by their top leaders during the Highest Level Meetings.
