Nagaland Youth Resources and Sports Advisor Er Zale Neikha today inaugurated the new school building of Government Primary School Kezo-Basa in Kohima district on December 8.
“Today, we have achieved a much needed facility for the young students of Kezo-Basa but this achievement should not be halted here but we need to again stand as one and aim for better milestones for the increase in educational aspect in the Southern Areas in general,” he said while addressing the gathering.
The school should aim to increase the number of students so that all children in the village can have the accessibility to education, he said.
He urged the teachers & parents present to do their part to improve the educational standard of the village.
The parents should help in the student’s homework so that the students will not go astray from their concentration of studies but guide and nurture them at home so that they excel in all aspect of their future career, he said.
Dr. Kevizakie Rio, Joint Director, Samagra Shiksha Nagaland and Ayo Thami also spoke at the programme.
The programme was chaired by Kevineito Zecho while welcome address was delivered by Kezo Basa village council chairman Medovi Yongo .Vote of thanks was proposed by Kethozeho Zecho, chairman, SMC Kezo Basa.
