GPS Mon town – ‘C’ inaugurated

Mon, March 14 (DIPR): The bifurcated Primary section of Government Middle School of Mon town ‘C’ was formally inaugurated by the District Education Officer, Mon Vikiho Awomi, on March 14 at ITI old office building, Mon.
Addressing at the function, the DEO, Mon said that opening of a school or institution is the most important activities among the other development. He exhorted the ward gathering public to be well aware of the communitization programme of the government for smooth functioning of the school and to provide quality education to their children.  Asserting that Government Teachers are well trained and equipped with the latest pedagogy, he urged upon the gathering to give due importance to Government Schools and avail free education. He also called upon the Ward Education Committee (WEC) to conduct routine inspection to supervise the teaching staffs and added that, it is the responsibility of the WEC to see that communitization programme is implemented effectively. He also urged upon the WEC and the teachers to maintain good coordination for overall development and proper management of the school. Exhorting the students, the DEO said that there are two aspects of positive and negative attitude in life and encouraged the students to choose positive attitude and not to felt neglected that there are studying in a Government School and added that all great leaders are the products of the Government Schools.
In his speech, H. Panja, Rtd. Programme Executive AIR, Mon announced to award Rs. 1000 each to the meritorious students. DIS, Mon Yongang; Khoma Public leader; Noke KU president, Mon unit and Y. Nokong Asstt. Head Master, GPS – C, also spoke at the function. Welcome speech was proposed by Khongyat, chairman, WEC and invocation was pronounced by J. Tontao, Fellowship Pastor, Shantham ward.
