Blessed with salubrious climatic conditions and rain washed green hills, the state of Nagaland enjoys naturally air-conditioned surroundings.
This was stated in the Annual Administrative Report 2024-25 of the tourism department, tabled in the recently concluded 6th session of 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly in Kohima.
The report stated that forests of Nagaland are one among those having rich bio-diversity especially in terms of flora.
Located in one of the 25 Hotspots Regions of the World, Nagaland has a rich bio-diversity with forests covering an area of 13,318 sq.km, which roughly corresponds to 80.33 per cent of the State's total geographical area, the Report stated.
“This exotic feature creates a great potential for promotion of Wellness Tourism in Nagaland,” the report stated.
Wellness Tourism embodies travel for the purpose of promoting health and well-being through physical, psychological or spiritual activities.
