Dimapur, July 10 (MExN): The Electrical Inspectorate as the Nagaland State Designated Agency (NSDA) organised the Green Village Initiative at Nihokhu, Dimapur on July 6 and at Samzuiram, Peren on July 7.
The Chief Electrical Inspector delivered the introductory speech highlighting energy conservation and role of the public in affectively carrying out in implementation of energy conservation measures etc. The chairman of the two villages also delivered short speeches and thanked the Department for conducting the program in their respective villages.
Er I.V Chishi, Chief Electrical Inspector, Electrical Inspectorate in a press release informed that the Department distributed free of cost super efficient ceiling fans, LED bulbs and LED street lights as encouragement towards energy conservation.
