Greeting for Chhath Puja in Nagaland

Dimapur, October 29 (MExN): The Nagaland Bhojpuri Samaj (NBS) has extended greetings to the people celebrating the Chhath Puja in Nagaland.

The festival is observed with strict fast by the devotees, who pay obeisance to the Sun God and also his sister Chhathi Maiya on the banks of river and any water sources. 

“As thousands of people from the Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and other parts of the country residing in Nagaland celebrate this festival, the Nagaland Bhojpuri Samaj wishes that this festival mark the beginning of life, fortune and success for everyone. May everyone be blessed by Sun God and Chhathi Maiya,” Pramod Singh, President, Nagaland Bhojpuri Samaj stated in a press release. 

The Dimapur Bengali Samaj (DBS) has extended greetings to the devotees on the occasion of ‘Surya Shashthi’ popularly known as ‘Chhath Mahaparv.’ “May ‘Chhathi Maiya’ fulfil all their desires and may the festival usher in general goodwill, happiness, peace, prosperity and well being,” stated a press note from Kamala Kanta Paul, President, DBS.

The Minority Morcha BJP extended Chhath Puja greetings to all the devotees of Godess of Chathi Maiya. Deep Kumar, President, Minority Morcha BJP Nagaland State conveyed, “May this Chhath Puja bring blessings and happiness in your way; may all your dreams come true and all evils be shed away.”

On the occasion of Chhath Puja, President of Minority Wing, Naga Peoples Front Central on behalf of the party extended greetings to the Bihari and Bhojpuri citizens of Nagaland. “On this auspicious occasion, may ‘The Sun God’ shower blessings upon each person and strengthen peace, brotherhood and harmony amongst all,” Roshan BK, General Secretary, NPF Minority Wing conveyed.
