
Dimapur, November 18 (MExN): The Nagaland Bhojpuri Samaj has extended greetings to the people celebrating the Chhath Puja in Nagaland.
“The festival is observed with strict fast by the devotees, who pay obeisance to the Sun God and also his sister Chhathi Maiya on the banks of river and any water sources,” Pramod Singh, President, Nagaland Bhojpuri Samaj stated in a press note.
“As thousands of people from the Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and other parts of the country residing in Nagaland celebrate this festival, the Nagaland Bhojpuri Samaj wishes that this festival mark the beginning of life, fortune and success for everyone.
May everyone be blessed by Sun God and Chhathi Maiya,” Singh added.
Meanwhile, the Dimapur Bangali Samaj has also wished all the devotees and 'Vratis' a very auspicious ‘Chhath Mahaparv’ which reveres and glorifies even the Setting Sun. “May ‘Bhagwan Bhaskar’ and ‘Chhathi Maiya’ usher in happiness, prosperity and peace in the lives of one and all,” Advocate KK Paul, President, Dimapur Bangali Samaj conveyed on behalf of the samaj.
