Mokokchung, June 19 (MExN): Brigadier MS Nikam, Group Commander, NCC Nagaland State on Friday mooted the idea of “One Town, One NCC Parade” instead of having separate parade in all institutes thereby enabling to have concentrated effort and training resources. It will also solve the problem of absence of ANOs in schools, he said during his inspection at the ongoing annual NCC camp in Mokokchung.
The Group Commander also emphasized on inculcating unity and discipline among the cadets, informed a press release received here. Stating that the training should provide all round development to the cadets, he asserted the NCC cadets should set an example for other students in their schools/colleges.
Brigadier Nikam also addressed around 30 Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) of various schools and colleges under 25 NL (I) Coy NCC Mokokchung, which encompasses districts of Longleng, Mokokchung, Mon, Tuensang, and Zunheboto. He appreciated their voluntary participation, zest, zeal, dedication and lauded their efforts in contributing their precious time and energy for NCC, for the overall cause of imparting meaningful training to the cadets.
He also thanked the parents and school/college principals for their contribution in motivating their wards to participate in NCC activities. “These cadets are the next basic building fiber of the nation,” he stated.
NCC cadets from Mon, Tuensang, Longleng, Zunheboto and Mokokchung districts are participating in the training camp which began on June 15. The camp will conclude on June 24.
