Meeting a long felt need in Mokokchung, a top class coaching center for various competitive exams was formally inaugurated here today at Eden Academy, Kumlong Ward by Metsubo Jamir, Nagaland Minister for Rural Development.

The coaching center is called Growth Center Mokokchung, patronized by the family of Metsubo Jamir, and presently offers two coaching classes. According to the coordinator of the Growth Center Mokokchung, Imtiakum, the facility was brought to fruition with the main objective of “moving forward using modern ideas and technology” and offers high end but affordable coaching classes.

The two coaching centers include Vidyamandir Classes for IIT, JEE, NEET, NSEE and medical entrance exam preparations and the ALS Satellite Education coaching class for civil services examinations like UPSC and NPSC. ALS Satellite Education will also offer scholarships to top 50 students going to the extent of 75% waiver on course fees.

Claiming that Vidyamandir Classes and ALS Satellite Education were both top coaching centers in India, the Growth Center Mokokchung coordinator said that prospective students now have the best option at their doorstep to prepare for various exams.

Metsubo Jamir, who is also the patron of Eden Academy, said that the academy was established with a “wider scope” and with the objective of offering alternative education system and that Growth Center Mokokchung is a sister concern of the Eden Academy. He said that the students from Mokokchung and the neighbouring areas were mentally capable of competing with the best students from any other part of the country but that that they lacked the facilities and economic resources to prepare for various exams.

While encouraging students to avail the services offered by Growth Center Mokokchung, he hoped that many students from Mokokchung would now be able to successfully appear all competitive exams. He also mentioned that skill development and training centers would be introduced at the Growth Center very soon. Mestubo Jamir also mentioned that a Nagaland Civil Services Board would soon be approved by the cabinet after which backdoor appointments would be checked.

Ao Senden, Watsü Mungdang and Ao Kaketshir Mungdang representatives also delivered short speeches who endorsed the Growth Center inaugurated today describing it as a long felt need in Mokokchung.
