GRPN/NSCN warns highest degree punishment for criminals

Dimapur, November 12 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN has warned that any person, be it a member of GPRN/NSCN or public, arrested and found guilty of committing crimes of rape or kidnapping for ransom, shall be liable for highest degree of punishment. A note from the MIP, GPRN/NSCN stated that the worse crimes demands worst punishment, and it will do all it can to ensure that Naga society remains safe from rapists and ransom demanding kidnappers.
GPRN/NSCN stated that Naga society in recent years, particularly in Dimapur, has been witnessing unprecedented criminal activities from anti-socials and pseudo national workers. The GPRN/NSCN Cabinet meeting held at the Oking has unanimously resolved to take extreme measures against perpetrators of inhuman crimes especially rape and kidnapping for ransom.
The recent black day observed by citizens of Dimapur in protest against criminals threatening Naga society must be supported by all sections of Naga society, the MIP noted stated further.  It is a serious concern that rape and kidnapping for ransom have become too frequent and unless the perpetrators are given exemplary punishment, many Nagas will continue to suffer silently, the note added.
GPRN/NSCN stated that it wholeheartedly supports the initiatives taken by the Naga Council Dimapur, tribal hohos, business community, Naga mothers, student bodies, concerned citizens etc., to root out criminals from Naga society. Fullest co-operation must be given and sternest actions must be taken against the perpetrators irrespective of affiliation to any organisation or community.
