A section of the gathering attending the ‘GST refresher training cum stakeholders’ meet’ at Niathu Resort on October 24.

Chümoukedima, October 24 (MExN): The department of State Taxes, Government of Nagaland, in association with Goods & Services Tax Network, New Delhi, (the provider of IT Infrastructure and Services for the Central and State Governments, taxpayers and other stakeholders for implementation of GST in India), has organised a two-day ‘GST refresher training cum stakeholders’ meet’ at Niathu Resort, 7th Mile Chümoukedima, commencing from October 24.
The two-day long training will have four sessions.The training will be conducted by two expert trainers under the supervision of Sateshwaran Kalyanasundaram, Vice President, Training Design and Delivery, GSTN, New Delhi, stated a press release received here.
The first three sessions are designed for the State and Central Tax authorities and will cover issues relating to Scrutiny of Returns, Assessment, Audit and Refund.
The fourth sessionwill be held on October 25 at 1:30 pm onward. It is designed for the Trade Bodies and Business leaders in the state along withthe top 100 taxpayersunder Dimapur Zone and Chümoukedima Zone. The session will cover various compliances issues and on new functionalities available for taxpayers in the GST portal.
The State Taxes department has alsoplannedfor similarGST Refresher Training cum Stakeholders’ Meet in all the District Tax Offices and will be organising soon to Educate, Sensitize and Empower the esteemed taxpayers and the other stakeholders in the State towards timely statutory tax compliances.
Deputy Chief Minister, TR Zeliang will be gracing the closing function at 4:00 pm. He will be accompanied by Kudecho Khamo, Advisor, Taxes & CAWD along with Ministers and MLAs of Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Niuland.
