GSUCD organize seminar on career importance, business

DIMAPUR, APRIL 22 (MExN): A career guidance seminar was organised by the Gorkha Students' Union, Chümoukedima District (GSUCD) on the theme ‘Gearing up towards a better tomorrow’ at Singrijan Village Council Hall on April 22. 

A press release issued by the media cell, GSUCD said the resource persons for the seminar were Seyiekhrietuo Solo, EAC Seithekema and Neisal Theyo, an entrepreneur. Speaking on the topic ‘Career Importance,’ Solo encouraged the students to make the optimum use of time and decide from a very early age about the career path they want to pursue in life. 

Theyo, while exhorting on the topic ‘Entrepreneur & Business,’ provoked the students to dream big and to pursue one’s dream. He also took a session on Career Guidance and Entrepreneurship. 

Earlier, GSUCD president Jacob Sundas in his speech impressed upon the students to choose career fields in which they excel. Head GB, Singirjan/Khopanala Village, Tezu pradhan encouraged the students to start identifying their interest and skill enhancement through various means, which can later on in life become their career.

The programme was chaired by Sushma Chettri, executive member GSUCD. Vote of thanks was given by Sanjay Dutraj, vice president, GSUCD. Students from 11 units under GSUCD who have appeared HSLC and HSSLC exams, attended the seminar and were given counselling in their field of interest.
