(As you sow, so shall you reap)
The recent happening taking place in our so called Christian State “Nagaland” urge me to write down a few thoughts to be pondered upon. The mindset of Selfishness and irresponsible act by the Union/Associations/groups (whosoever involved) should be discouraged and condemned to its lowest in order to have a bright and prosperous society.
We may have seen many Unions/Associations/groups etc. mushrooming up in recent times in Nagaland (supposedly meant) for the welfare of its members. This must be appreciated by one and all as it is a sign of Unity in Diversity (Hats off to us ‘Nagas’). But keeping in mind that, this mushrooming /Associations/groups should be used for constructive purposed and see to it that it is of Democratic nature rather than used for destructive purpose in broad view. When any of the /Associations/groups so formed is found to be deteriorative or tend to destroy the sanctity of the Democracy should be banned immediately once and for all for the better. In the context of Education in Nagaland, we often talk and deliberate about the utmost need for quality and Higher Education but Alas! How fare have we ever seriously tried to put it into reality? So let us in one chorus wake up and give quality Education a chance to exist. We should (like it or not) learn and honour the sanctity of fair and open competitive Examination which is the ultimate Goal of quality Education.
For instance, the root cause in the delayed issue of the appointment order in regard to the recent declared GT/PT-2012 was due to the irrational mindset and deeds of the individuals concerned involved whosoever may be. In this matter, may I request for a change of mindset and deeds for a better tomorrow. The failed trained candidate should keep in mind that, they have directly or indirectly murdered the future of many aspiring Students by denying them (students) adequate subject teachers in their quest for quality knowledge/Education. The so called Trained candidates and the concerned Department should pave the way to the deserved Selected Teachers GT/PT-2012, in getting their appointment order as the saying goes “As you Sow, so shall you reap” in honouring your own knowledge obtained through Education.
Let us not be greedy proud by just having professional certificate (any professional) to claim a job without fulfilling the competitive Examination criteria’s rather be glad that you are fortunate and better equipped. If one can claim a job with a course certificate then what is the point of conducting open recruitment Examination. A fervent request to whosoever concerned (Govt. Employed) to please honour the open Recruitment Examination and to retrospect that you too were a desperate job seeker once upon a time. Use your privilege in delivering justice rather than traumatizing to the deserved successful candidates.
The Selected Teachers GT/PT-2012, are too good for becoming a Lady and Gentlemen. Please wake up and get you appointment order and postings not only for yourself but for the sake of many deserving and desiring students in fulfilling their quest for quality Education.
