The Guwahati Eastern Naga Students’ Union members with the Miss Fresher and Mr. Fresher of the 21st annual fresher’s meet cum social gathering 2018 held on November 3.
Guwahati, November 5 (MExN): Guwahati Eastern Naga Students’ Union (GENSU) celebrated the 21st annual fresher’s meet cum social gathering 2018 on November 3 with the theme “Together towards tomorrow” at Lewis Memorial Hall, CBCNEI.
The event was graced by Karma Paljor Editor-in-chief, EastMojo.com, stated a press release. Guest Speaker Karma Paljor in his speech encouraged the students to be “curious to know things & opportunities happening around you”. He also said “Nagas usually tend to look away against corruptions and illegal activities happening in the state and joins the same crowd. But it’s the future generations to bring about change”. He added that “youths should invest in travel and experience the people and culture from other parts of the world always maintain respect and integrity.”
GENSU President Dekhingridi Sangtam spoke on the theme of the event and encouraged the fellow youths to be united together and contribute to society for better tomorrow.
Total of 43 freshers were blessed by pastor, NCFG, Peter Thong. Leom Phom was crowned Miss Fresher and Thelisangtam as Mr Fresher.
