Habitual thieves in police net

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 5 (MExN): Three burglars, involved in a robbery, which occurred on December 20, 2010, were arrested by the police on January 4. According to a press release from the Additional Superintendent of police, Dimapur the stolen goods were also recovered alongwith two others, who received the looted items. The robbery was cracked after police actively pursued the case, the release added.  
The burglary had occurred on the night of December 20 at a shop located at Station Road, Dimapur. The thieves broke open the door of the shop and decamped with its goods, said to be worth around a few lakh of Rupees. Police received an FIR the next day.
The three were initially picked up on suspicion after discreet inquiries were conducted, the note stated. They were identified as one Kubir Uddin (18 years), a Raju Das alias Bablu (21 years) and one Raju Hussain (18 years). Interrogation of the three led to revelation of their involvement in the robbery. Further they also disclosed the identity of two persons, namely – one Mahinder Das (34 years) and a Kalia Nayak (23 years), to whom they had deposited the looted items. Nayak and Das were subsequently arrested.   
“The recovered stolen items were released to the rightful owner and a case has been registered in this connection”.
