Kolkatta, December 9 (MExN): At a solemn religious ceremony held at Mother Teresa House, Kolkata, Hantsula Yimchunger from Shamator professed her commitment to be a fulltime missionary and to be at the service of the poorest of the poor following the footsteps of Saint Mother Teresa in the congregation of Missionaries of Charity. The function was participated by many priests, sisters, laity and representatives of family.
The program included Eucharistic celebration concelebrated by six priests from Nagaland. Hantula Yimchunger, having taken vows of poverty, chastity, obedience and service to the poorest of the poor will now be known as Rev Sr M Chris John MC. The change of name is symbolic of her new life of ministry and mission, a press note from Fr Leo Chase, Shamator informed.
