Tricolour available at Post offices

As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, the national postal service- India Post, has started distributing and selling the Indian tricolour in Nagaland and Manipur. Som Kamei, Postmaster General, NE-II Region, informed today, in Dimapur, that the flags (30 x 20 inch) are now available at Rs 25 a piece in all the district post offices in Nagaland and Manipur and can also be bought online via indiapost.gov.in.
In Nagaland, some 13,000 pieces have already been sold/distributed out of the 20,000 given to the state. In Manipur, it has distributed over 14,000, he informed. Bulk orders can also be placed through the postal head offices in Kohima and Imphal.
The NE-II Region covers Nagaland and Manipur.
As a symbol of national integrity and unity, he said that India Post is proud to be involved in distributing the national flag. “We continue to reach out to all parts of India, whether hills or plains, and be part of the campaign,” he said, while appealing the citizens to hoist national flag and be part of the campaign.
He further informed that all the 331 post offices in Nagaland and 692 in Manipur will be hoisting the national flag commemorating Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
As part of the celebrations, India Post has also set up a selfie point just outside its Dimapur office premises where the public can take pictures for posterity.
