‘Have vision with tolerance & dedication’

Kohima, January 4: A newly organized L. Yanthung Village Students’ Union under Wokha, established in 2013 held its first session with R. Thechamo Ovung of Lotsu village as the chief guest on December 30 last.

Speaking at the function, Ovung stated that students should have a vision with tolerance and dedication and further stated that with God’s blessings and their efforts anything could be achieved. He called upon the students to respect their elders and acquire knowledge from them and said there is no age limit to learning. He further said that it is a humble beginning for the students union and one should aim for perfection as their motto rightly goes “For a better tomorrow.”

As a sort of encouragement, he committed a sum of Rs. 5000 to the first matriculate from the village and for a start he contributed some amount of cash and stationeries to the student body.

Union general secretary Renyimo Ovung on behalf of the students thanked Ovung for his presence at the session. He added that the unfurling of the union flag by Ovung will remain significant and a good memory in the days to come. Pastor Lizanbemo Ovung and Renbemo Odyuo pronounced invocation and benediction prayer respectively.
