HC notice to Assam govt, CBI and ED

Guwahati, January 7 (PTI): The Gauhati High Court has issued notice to Assam government, CBI, Enforcement Directorate and some individuals on a PIL alleging corruption in Dima Hasao in allotment of quarries.  

A division bench of acting Chief Justice T Vaiphai and Justice M R Pathak directed the government on Tuesday not to hamper the ongoing investigation and the investigating team. According to a certified copy of the notice available today, the HC also directed the government to produce the status report before it on February 18. The notice was also issued to the DGP, the District Forest Officer and the SP of Dima Hasao, OC of Haflong police station and four private individuals.
