‘Heal Your Mind’ drug awareness camp held in Kuhoxu village

KOHIMA, JULY 23 (MExN): A three day drug awareness camp with the theme 'Heal Your Mind' was organized by Gilgal Prayer Centre, Kuhoxu village, Niuland district from July 19 to 21 last.

The three day event was held in collaboration with Gospel Riders Ministry, Living Tree Prayer Tower Ministry, Prodigals’ Home, DDUN (Dimapur District Users Network) and PAWF Nagaland.

Kuputo Shikhu was the camp director and Hinoto Achumi co-director for the camp.

Resource persons for the event include D. Akato Achumi, co-ordinator, The Watchman Cell, Imti Aier, president, DDUN and Meren Jamir, residential counselor, IRCA Prodigal's Home.

EAC Niuland, Vikato Yeptho is a brief address revealed that the district administration was planning to set up a Drug Inspector soon in the newly created district.

The speakers of the camp for the gospel services were Awoto Awomi, Author & convenor, Gospel Riders Ministry, pastor Along L Thonger from Shekinah Glory Prayer Centre, Chümoukedima and Rev. Azhato Kiba, senior pastor, New Life Church, Kohima

The programme witnessed 54 campers between the age group of 14-45 years from six districts of Nagaland. The last day of the camp concluded with entertainment night, to show the young people that life can be enjoyed without drugs.

Special artist appearances were made by Hikali Achumi, the reigning Miss Sumi and Miss Nagaland 2022, Joshua Shohe and friends, Senti & Hopong and standup comedy by Alokali Achumi, Daniel Achumi and African Amakishiu.
Meanwhile, the organiser lauded all the well wishers who generously contributed for the success of the camp.
