Health camp: 171 people receive treatment at PHC Rüzazho

Dimapur, August 1 (MExN): The Primary Health Centre, Rüzazho under Phek district held a dental-cum- general health camp which was funded by the Nagaland Health Project on July 31.

According to a DIPR report on Monday, Medical Officer, PHC Rüzazho, Dr Khrieseituonuo Mechülho informed that a team of six health professionals from Be-Home Med Care, Kohima village consisting of dentists, medical officers, a physiotherapist, and a lab technician along with medical personnel from PHC Rüzazho conducted the camp. A total of 171 villagers were treated and several necessary lab tests were also carried out free of cost.

The Nagaland Health Project, funded by the World Bank has been helping selected health centres in Nagaland on Result Based Funds on a biannual basis, the DIPR report stated.

Besides providing funds for health services, civil works infrastructural improvements, plumbing, solar lighting, and solar water heater were also provided by the Nagaland Health Project Team, it said.

The DIPR report informed that Be-Home Med Care is located at lower L Khel, near GMS Kohima village, and is run by a few like-minded doctors of various disciplines to provide health services to the community. The Home provides services like the home collection for lab tests, home nursing, dental treatment, doctor's consultation, laboratory testing, medicine, nursing, and oxygen hiring. Consultation on prior appointments for nutrition, psychology counseling, physiotherapy, speech therapy and hearing aid, optometry, and massage & hot stone therapy services are also available at the home care, it added.
