Health camp covers villages under Kiphire district

Kiphire, May 11 (MExN): Medical team from the Chief Medical Officer’s Office and District Hospital Kiphire conducted Village Health Nutrition Day-cum-Mobile Medical Unit health camp on May 10.
The team was led by Dr Tinurenla Anichari, Deputy Chief Medical Officer and Dr Pewezo Khalo, DPO (RCH/UIP). Altogether, nine medical personnel (including medical officers and staffs) conducted the health camp.
The team covered four villages namely Ngoromi, New Longmatra, Azetso, and Aso where they conducted outreach routine immunisation, Ante Natal Check-up (ANC), including nutritional support and distribution of medicine. The medical officials also interacted with the village council leaders in the villages.
Several patients were attended especially elderly who could not avail medical facility due to the lockdown issues. Also, the village leaders were briefed on COVID-19 and the role of public villagers on how to fight COVID-19 together through community participation.
A press release issued by Haichikambe Pame, District Media Officer, CMO office Kiphire mentioned that in all the villages, cleanliness and sanitation issues were briefed. In addition, social distancing was maintained during the whole course of the activities.
