Health camp provides check up to 107 villagers at Saijan

Peren, August 10 (MExN): 9th NAP Bn (IR) organized a health camp at Saijan on August 9. Dr. LT Patton, unit RMO conducted medical check-up and provided free medicines to 107 villagers.  

Commandant C. James Kinghen in his speech said the objective of organizing such event was to maintain a cordial police-public relationship, informed a press release.  

The village GB lauded 9th NAP Bn for conducting such camp and pointed out that it was the first time such event was organized in the village.  

On the same day, waiting shed at Saijan village was also inaugurated by chairman, Jalukie Town Council G.R. Zeliang, who exhorted the villagers to cooperate with security personnel.  

The NAP unit also donated water tanks (syntax) for village council hall. Ladies Family Welfare Association (LFWA) of the unit also imparted training on detergent making. Free detergent powder making kits were also distributed to the villagers with an aim to help manufacture detergent locally by villagers themselves.  

The release further informed that village women were identified to undergo free training in tailoring for three months. On completion of the training, the commandant assured that foot sewing machine will be provided.
