Health camp at Satoi village benefit 318 patients

Dimapur, June 2 (MExN): The Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland (IRCSN) in collaboration with the Zunheboto District Branch of IRCS conducted medical/health camp at Satoi Village, one of the most remote villages under Zunheboto District on May 31. A press note issued by IRCSN stated that altogether 318 patients were treated and provided free medicine and tooth extraction was done on 15 patients
The State Branch of IRCS team consisted of Zakie Kire, General Secretary IRCSN, Helena Yepthomi M.C Member IRCSN, Kholie Dolf M.C Member IRCSN, Nyimtseno Pienyu UDA IRCSN, Aja Zinyü, ICRC programme coordinator and staffs. The Zunheboto District Branch of IRCS was represented by Kashito Sema, honorary secretary Zunheboto District Branch and office assistant was led by H. Hesso, vice-chairman IRCSN. The Doctors, Nurses and other medical personnel rendered their services during the camp are Dr. Nitovi, Dr. Simon, Dental Surgeon both from Civil Hospital Zunhetoto, Dr. Akaho, Medicine specialist PHC Shurohuto, Dr. Piloto PHC Aghunato and Nurses Ghovili, Kasheli, Kaili, Akali and pharmacist Hocto.
The inauguration function was chaired by Kashito, honorary secretary Zunheboto District Branch of IRCS and invocation prayer was pronounced by the Pastor of Satoi Village church. Short speech was delivered by the GB of Satoi Village Kughai Ayemi. Thereafter, the medical camp was inaugurated by the chief guest H. Hesso, vice-chairman IRCSN who is also the president of Sumi Hoho Nagaland. The chief guest in his inaugural address expressed his happiness for being able to conduct medical camp in the remotest village like Satoi Village under Zunheboto District. The chief guest also convey his gratefulness to the Kaito Ayemi, Minister for Road & Bridges, Nagaland for supporting the medical camp by providing food and accommodation for the medical team, and thanked Kughai Ayemi GB Satoi Village for giving all the necessary logistic support.
Zakie Kire, General Secretary IRCSN while pronouncing the vote of thank extended gratitude to the Doctors, Nurses and other medical personnel for rendering the best of their services for the success of the medical camp. He also thanked the Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto for providing rooms in the DC’s Rest House at Zunheboto for the State Branch team for one night free of cost and a very special thanks to Ashito Kiba and family of Zunheboto Town for hosting dinner for the IRCS State Branch Team.
