
DIMAPUR, JUNE 9 (MExN): Following a news report related to unhygienic conditions at a popsicle ice cream factory in Dimapur, the Directorate of Health & Family Welfare has issued an improvement notice to the proprietor of the factory served under section 32 of the FSS Act’ 2006.
The notice was issued through the State Programme Officer (Food Safety), Dr John Kemp based on the inspection of the stated factory by Food Safety Team, Dimapur. A press release issued through the DIPR informed that samples were also collected by the Food Safety Officer of Dimapur for quality testing at the State Food NABL Accredited laboratory. In this regard, 14 days time was granted to the concerned proprietor to comply and take corrective measures as per the FSSA Rules and Regulations, failing which legal course of action shall be initiated against the Food Business Operator.
