Mokokchung, March 16 (MExN): A health mela was conducted at Longjang PHC Mokokchung on March 15 organised by District Health Society Mokokchung. The team was led by Dr. S. S Akaba Longchar CMO Mokokchung who was accompanied by Dr. Kibangkumba Dy. CMO, Programme Officers, Medical Officers, Staffs of different programmes, ICTC and NHM staffs informed a press release received here.
A total number of 269 patients availed free medical services. Dr. Ademla Tinu DGO IMDH Mokokchung and the team of nurses from IMDH conducted three Lap ST and one IUCD INSERT IGNOREion.
Mobile ICTC team from Mokokchung conducted testing for HIV after proper counselling. IEC & NLEP staffs gave health talks on different topics and also distributed leaflets. Consultant NVBDCP conducted LQAS during the Mela. He also visited few houses to check whether the public are using the LLIN mosquito nets and records were also checked in the PHC.
Earlier, the camp started after an inaugural prayer by Limawati Associate Pastor Youth Ministry, Longjang Compound. During the Camp patients from villages of Asetkong range availed free medical services. The camp ended after a short meeting with the members of Village Council Longjang, VHC Committees and Staffs of Longjang PHC where CMO expressed profound gratitude to all the person who were behind the successful Camp.
