Newmai News Network Imphal | December 12 A Zonal Health Public Laboratory and Barrack type quarter at Primary Health Centre have been opened in the border town of Moreh today. Speaking on the occasion, Manipur Health and Family Welfare Minister L Jayantakumar expressed that good health is necessary for progressive development. The minister maintained that the present government is trying its best to boost health sector in the state new health and wellness centers were opened with an object to improve health care system. Due to changes in lifestyles, new diseases are coming up, so we need to find ways to cure and upgrade our health care system, he added. He further stated that all human are equal, so discrimination among us needs to be stopped. The minister then informed that that state has been assured to receive Rs. 3000000 worth of Food Testing Machines. To install these machines, proper infrastructure is needed .He also assured that Food Safety office and its services will be made fully functional very soon. During his visit, the minister inaugurated the newly installed Free Diagnostic Lab, X-ray, Anesthesia and Ultra sound machines at Sub District Hospital, Moreh. YAS minister, Letpao Haokip who attended as President dedicated the newly constructed Laboratory and Barrack Type Quarter and also urged the locals to care and maintain it. He appealed to the public to refrain from politicizing sports, health and education sectors. N.Indrajit, MLA Kshetrigao A/C and Dr K Ranjit Singh,Director, Health Services attended as guests of honor.
