Health & Wellness Sub-Center at Mon village was inaugurated on May 31.
Mon, May 31 (MExN): The Health & Wellness Sub-Center at Mon village was inaugurated by Wangpang Konyak, MLA & Advisor, Department of Social Welfare, Government of Nagaland on May 31.
The pastor of Mon Village Baptist Church, PS Pulei, led a dedicatory prayer, stated a press release.
In his address at the inaugural, the MLA said that the facility's ability to operate successfully depends mostly on the quality of its service delivery. Therefore, he asked that the department and the service providers to constantly fulfil the needs when arise. Wangpang gave an explanation of the history, procedure, and approval of HWC-SC. He expressed gratitude to the department and to Paiwang Konyak, Minister of Health and Family Welfarefor bringing health care services for the people of Mon village.
Chief Medical Officer, Mon Dr Imnapokim expressed gratitude to the MLA for carrying on the initiatives and making it effective, as well as to the late Noke Konyak, the former MLA, for taking the lead.
He stated that the department will provide instruments, equipments, man powers and medicines but for the smooth functioning of the facility, the community should also cooperate and be a part of the Village Health Committee. He said the staffs and the community should work hand in hand and take the ownership of the sub centre. He also briefed on how the untied fund is used. Dr Imnapokim also exhorted all the staff to recommit to their work by being more truthful, honest and sincere towards their duty.
The programme started with an invocation prayer by Tingmo, Deacon; welcome address by Nokpen, VC Chairman; vote of thanks by Nahpang President MVSC and it was was chaired by Shingwang.
