The monthly review meeting combined with the RMNCAH+N being held in Dimapur.

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 31 (MExN): The Monthly District Health Review Meeting, combined with the RMNCAH+N (Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, Adolescent Health + Nutrition) Review, was held at the Conference Hall of the Chief Medical Officer's (CMO) Office in Dimapur. The meeting focused on assessing health indicators and strategizing improvements in the district's healthcare services.
Representatives from all health blocks presented their performance on critical health indicators, including maternal and child health, nutrition, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK), family planning, and adolescent health. The review emphasized addressing underperforming indicators before the next meeting. Block representatives also discussed the challenges faced at the grassroots level, fostering an open dialogue to better understand the hurdles in implementing health programs effectively.
Dr Limatula Aier, CMO of Dimapur, stressed the importance of effective communication between Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) and Health Units (HUs) for accurate report compilation. She emphasized the need for thorough report verification at the block level before submission to the CMO's office.
"We must think creatively to bridge the gaps our health workers face. Each of you has a role to play in finding solutions to improve our health services," Dr. Aier stated. She also highlighted the mandatory attendance of ASHAs at monthly meetings and the critical role of ASHA Coordinators in supporting and disseminating information during these meetings.
