Healthy lifestyle camp held in Zunheboto

Zunheboto, February 24 (MExN): The District Health Society, Zunheboto organised a healthy lifestyle camp under the National Programme for Prevention & Control and Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke ( NPCDCS) at District Hospital, Zunheboto on February 23.   Speaking on the importance of healthy lifestyle, Dr. Akaho, Senior Specialist, District Hospital, Zunheboto highlighted what diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease and cancer are, a press release from District Media Officer, CMO office, Zunheboto informed. He explained about the types, symptoms, complications, the risk factor and their treatment and prevention and early diagnosis. He said that the healthy lifestyle camp is one of the outreach programmes under the NPCDCS.  

FGD, Counselling and one to one sessions were carried out by IEC personnel. Pamphlets and leaflets were distributed free.   The team of medical personnel was led by Dr. G. Hokishe, CMO, Zunheboto, Dr. Akaho, Senior Specialist, DH, Dr. Aron, MO, DH, Dr. Nitovi MO, DH, Dr. Shevosa, Surgeon, DH, Dr. Mughalu, Dr. Kikato, and supporting nurses, Lab. Tech, Ophthalmic Assistant. The district team comprised BPM, Zunheboto Block, ASHA Co- ordinator, Lab tech and nurse (MMU) and RBSK team.
