Chumukedima, July 30 (MExN): A final public hearing on social audit of Sovima Village under MGNREGS was held on July 30 at conference Hall, RD Block, Chumukedima.
Alemla J Chishi, DPC/PD DRDA, Dimapur chaired the hearing programme and highlighted the MGNREGS programme successfully implemented by the RD department and Gram Sabha at village level in particular.
Zachive Thele, Director, Social Audit Unit Nagaland delivered the introductory speech. He appreciated the DRPs and VRPs for successfully conducting the social audit of Sovima VDB. He expressed gratitude towards Sovima VDBs and the public for judiciously utilising the MGNREGS funds as well as implementation of the programmes successfully. This was followed by a presentation on social audit findings of Gram Sabha by DRPs and VRPs.
The public from Sovima led by the Village Council Chairman followed by Director Social Audit unit, DPC/PD DRDA Dimapur, State Coordinator, BDO/PO Chumukedima, and APO attended the social audit hearing and participated in the discussion on Audit findings. The House reviewed the Gram Sabha resolution passed at Sovima village on July 20 and reaffirmed the nine point resolution of Gram Sabha.
