Peren, November 26 (MExN): The Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC), Nsong, Tumben P Tsanglao has imposed an indefinite ban on heavy logging vehicles of all types in Peren district.
According to an order issued through the state DIPR, the restriction was passed in view of the hardship faced by general public of Nsong area for movement of people, essential goods and services, due to pitiable road condition which has been aggravated by movement of heavy vehicles.
Violation of the order would attract heavy penalties including confiscated and seizure of vehicle and goods/ logs without exception, it added.
