Heavy rainfall likely for 4 days, says IMD

    Dimapur, July29 (MExN): Several parts of the Indian Union, including all the North Eastern States, are expected to experience “Heavy to very heavy rainfall” in the next four days, stated an ‘All India Weather Warning Bulletin’ issued by India Meteorological Department (IMD) on July 29. “Heavy to very heavy rainfall” very likely at isolated places over Gujarat and west Rajasthan; and “heavy rain ” at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, east Rajasthan, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura and Konkan & Goa on July , the IMD Bulletin informed. It further forecasted similar conditions for next four days and every state in North East would continue to receive heavy rain till August 2. Meanwhile, in view of the forecast by IMD, the National Disaster Management Authority has asked the respective state agency to remain alert and be prepared for any exigency.
