DIMAPUR, APRIL 29 (MExN): A portion of the deck slab of Dikhu Bridge along Mokokchung - Noksen (Tuensang) road via Longmisa village has been damaged and poses great danger to the lives and properties of the general public. In this connection, Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh in a notification informed that henceforth movement of heavy vehicles will be restricted from April 29 till May 7 along the aforementioned road to facilitate repair of the bridge. Only light vehicles carrying personnel luggage shall be allowed during the stipulated time, it added. The DC has also directed EAC, Ongpangkong to check and ensure that the restriction of movement of all heavy vehicles is adhered to. Non compliance shall invite penal action as per the relevant section of the law.
