DIMAPUR, JUNE 12 (MExN): The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) has issued an advisory in public interest that Nagaland is likely to receive heavy to very heavy rains in the coming days.
According to a NSDMA district wise weather waning bulleting, heavy to very heavy rain is likely to hit five districts in Nagaland namely, Kohima, Phek, Tuensang, Zunheboto and Kiphire on the June 13, 2018. Furthermore, districts like Peren, Kohima, Wokha and Mon is also likely to experience heavy rain on June 14. The overall weather condition across the districts is likely to remain dry except Wokha on June 15.
It has therefore informed all District Disaster Management Authorities (DDMAs) and emergency response agencies that are into responding to emergencies to remain alert for any untoward incident. The public have also been advised to avoid going to risky zones such as near river banks, sloppy and landslide prone areas.
