Hega Festival, a traditional seed-sowing festival, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and community spirit at Jalukie on March 28. Organised by the Mbaupungwa Lui Council, the event was graced by Metsubo Jamir, Minister for RD and SIRD, as the special guest; TR Zeliang, Deputy Chief Minister, as the chief host; Igumchu as co-host; and Hiazu Meru, Deputy Commissioner of Peren, as the guest of honour. The celebration featured folk performances and a community feast.
