Kohima, March 29 (MExN): The Directorate of Industries and Commerce, Kohima hosted a felicitation programme in honour of Hekani Jakhalu Kense Advisor, Department of Industries on March 29.
Addressing the officers and staff, Advisor Hekani Jakhalu Kense said that her “mission is to work and ensure that all the Government schemes and programmes reach the grass-root level.” She said that God has been preparing her for 17 years to take up this role and perhaps it is God’s plan that she is placed in the department.
As a development department, the officials of the department have a vital role to play to elevate and enhance the economic condition of the state. She challenged to officials to be prepared to work and be the driving force to take the state forward.
Hekani also emphasised on the importance of team work and even brought a team of external experts to give hands- on professional skill development training to the officers, stated a press release from the department.
Earlier, A Temjen Jamir, Director, Industries & Commerce delivered the welcome address. Kekhrievor Kevichusa, IPos Commissioner & Secretary to Government of Nagaland in his speech expressed confidence that under her leadership and guidance coupled with her varied experience as a social entrepreneur, the department will achieve greater heights.
