Henbenji Village Community Hall inaugurated

Nagaland Rural Development director K. Inazhe Phuleshe today inaugurated the long awaited Henbenji Village Community Hall at Henbenji Village under RD Block Tseminyu.

Speaking on the occasion, Phuleshe lauded the villagers for judiciously using the funds provided and for the hard work put in by all in building the community hall which, he termed, was a great necessity for the denizens.

He maintained that the good developmental works created by the villagers of Henbenji was not only a proud moment for the village but also for the entire Rural Development department.

Lamenting that many villages are still without proper assets and that no impact or achievements have been made although the VDB association of Nagaland will be celebrating 50 years of its existence in 2030, he urged them to aim for long-run and sustainable planning so that their hard work will remain in history down the years.

He further impressed upon them not to shy away from our work culture but to make use of the various potentials available as Nagaland is filled with opportunities.

BDO Tseminyu Block, Jenny Kath stated that Tseminyu district being one of the newest districts is lacking behind in many areas especially in terms of infrastructure and other developmental activities.

Towards this, she sought the support and cooperation of the department to help in any way possible since RD is one of the most important department that every villages depend upon.

Earlier short speeches were also delivered by joint director, RD, Shuyhunle Nyenthong, president, VDB association, Tseminyu Block, Andrew Kent and VDB secretary, Keyhon Cheng.

The inaugural programme was chaired by chairman, Henbenji Village, AsinloSemp while vote of thanks was pronounced by Sotilo Tep, ex-chairman, Henbenji Village.
