Tuensang, June 14 (MExN): Speaking as the Chief Guest, NIRMSC Chairman and MLA S. Heno said, “Village Guards are the public protector and therefore the general public should cooperate with the VGs for the peace, unity and safety of the Village”. S. Heno was at speaking at the inaugural unction of the newly constructed VG Post building at Kingniu Village under Tuensang District on May 26, 2007.
“The Chief Guest appreciated the State government for the enhancement of VGs’ pay from Rs.250 to Rs.500”, the Building Planning Committee, Convenor S.Mulang said in a press release. S. Heno donated Rs.40, 000, Rs.10, 000 and Rs.20, 000 and to the dancing groups, participants and VGs delegates respectively. He also assured Rs.1, 00, 000, fifty plastic chairs and a type writer to the Kingniu Village VG.
S.Heno was accompanied by the administrative officers of ADC, BDO, OC, Assistant Commandant VG (Noklak) and Doctor PHC, SDO (PWD) Thonoknyu, CDPO Sangsangnyu, President NPF Tuensang Division and other important delegates and VG representatives from different villages.
The VGs BPC and general public of Kingniu Village through the release have expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest for inaugurating the building and for his generous donations, the release later stated.
