Peren, May 19 (MExN): One day seminar and sensitisation programme on Hepatitis and HIV/AIDS along with free medical camp was organised by Bungtak Maa at Poilwa village Panchayat Hall Peren on May 18.
The programme was an initiative taken by the Bungtak Maa looking at the needs of the population.
Kwenemlong N. Hau Vice Chairman, Poilwa Village Council Peren (N) was the chief guest. Twabe Mbung Vice President Poilwa Youth Organisation (N) chaired the programme which started with invocation by Hangsuibe Guing Associate Pastor Baptist Church Poilwa. Heikeiloing Mbung Chief Co-Ordinator Bungtak Maa Poilwa Peren (N) gave the welcome address.
Dr. Anungla Medical Officer PHC Poilwa, Hiareu Mobile ICTC Counsellor NSACS and Ngauzeulungbe, DIS Peren NSACS spoke during the programme.
Iraipoing, Poilwa Youth Organisation Poilwa Village acknowledged Chief Medical Officer, Peren and Medical Superintendent for providing medicines and MYLAN pharmaceuticals, Hepatitis test kits. He also thanked BDO Peren and MO Poilwa for financial support. The programme concluded with benediction by Sangziung, GB Poilwa Village.
In the free medical camp, 25 people were screened for HIV and Hepatitis C and free medications were distributed by the Medical Officer Poilwa and staffs.
