Winners of Inter-collegiate Naga wrestling competition during the 5th edition of Alder Fest held in Kohima from March 27 to 28.
Kohima, March 31 (MExN): Alder College has conducted its 5th edition of Alder Fest under the theme ‘Heritage Unplugged’ at Alder College Campus, Sepfuzou, Kohima from March 27 to 28.
The event saw participation from various institutions and colleges in and around Kohima. The first day featured inter-college events like arm wrestling, cosplay, and various competitions.
The opening ceremony was graced by Neingutoulie Kengurüse, Councilor, Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), who is also an Alumni of the College. He shared his college experiences and urged students to work hard for success.

The program was chaired by C Betha Kamla, Vice President, ACSUK, with invocation by Yanglirila, Women Co-ordinator, ACSUK. Welcome Address was delivered by Salamvü Rhi, President, ACSUK.
Principal’s Address was given by Dr Medotsino Thorie. There was also an open mic session for students to showcase their talents.
The second day kicked off with the Inter-collegiate Naga wrestling competition, graced by reigning champion Kezhaseluo-o Pienyü. Neikerhezo Zhünyü from Kohima College emerged as the Champion.
Kekhriesielie Metha from Kohima College came second followed by Küvetsüto Kezo, Baptist College and Khrütuzo Medeo, Mt Olive College in third and fourth position respectively.
The event concluded with a concert by The Gluttones, featuring artists like Ngungle Wangsa (dancer) and Ketoulhou Sakhru (singer).
Winners of the competitions were awarded cash prizes, certificates, and gift hampers from Ete Coffee and variety merchandise.
