KOHIMA, JULY 20 (MExN): Kohima Police on July 19 seized 2070 grams of suspected heroin worth Rs 2.17 crore (approximate) at Inter-State Check Gate, Khuzama. The drugs were packed in soap cases, totaling 169, and being transported in dumper trucks.
In this connection, PRO, Kohima Police, in a press release, informed that five person identified as Subash Bista (27 yrs), Amusana Singh (37 yrs), Abdul Ahmed (30 yrs), Losii Payio, and Manikho were arrested and NDPS cases registered for further investigation. With this latest seizure, Kohima Police has registered a record haul of 346 soap cases of heroin weighing 4137 grams estimated to be worth Rs 4.34 crore in the month of July, the PRO stated.
