Dimapur, Jan 12 (MExN): Focusing on the objective to encourage budding Hindi writers and aspirants of the country, an 8-day workshop of All India Hindi Writers was held from January 5 to 12. It was organized by the Central Hindi Directorate, Ministry of HRD, New Delhi in joint collaboration with Delhi Public School Dimapur. The workshop was conducted as part of the scheme under HRD, which aims to uphold our national integrity and encourage the application Hindi language. Altogether around 20 members from different parts of India participated in the workshop. The resource persons include Dr. Vijay Kumaran, Pioneer College, Kerala University, Dr. Hardeep Singh, Ludhiana Government College and Shailesh Bidailia, Research Officer, Central Hindi Directorate, Ministry of HRD, New Delhi.
Addressing the valedictory function as the Chief Guest today, S.I Jamir, Chairman, Dimapur Public School Society, stressed on the importance of Hindi knowledge and its implementation in schools. He explained how Hindi language was discouraged to learn during the Independence struggle in Nagaland and even today, the youngsters are weak which prove as an obstacle for many. He wished that through the workshop, many will benefit and develop an emotional integrity as a whole with India. “Considering the importance of the national language, DPS Dimapur has been given sufficient emphasis on Hindi,” mentioned the Chairman.
The highlights of the function include a song by DPS students, a group dance and a special song and short skit by the participants. Sharing was done by three participants Kamala devi, Ravinder Ravi and Chandra Shekhar Patil. The chief Guest presented the mementoes and certificates to the resource persons and the participants. The 8-day workshop included different literature sessions and interactions. The team also visited Naga Heritage village at Kisama, Kohima and some Hindi based institutions. The resource persons and participants appreciated the hospitality of DPS and Ministry of HRD for organizing such workshops.
Talking to The Morung Express, the HRD official informed that under the scheme every year, eight workshops are held in different states of India. He said that seven workshops are conducted in non-Hindi areas from which at least two workshops are preferred in Northeast states. Participants are provided with daily allowance and the HRD endorse all other expenses. Mr. Bidailia also mentioned that the Ministry conducts student study tours in different states and university subjected on Hindi language.
