Hindi teachers make plea to education minister

KOHIMA, Feb 14 (MExN): The All Nagaland Hindi Teachers Union (ANHTU) today requested minister for school education to extend the service of the Adhoc Hindi teacher till the selection process is completed in the interest of public and students at large.

In an open letter to the latter, the Union general secretary S.A. Yarthotngam said that the recruitment process through the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) had not been completed and the service of the adhoc appointees against the 200 newly created post of Hindi teachers stand terminated from December 2005.

However, it said, with all the academic session starting by the month of February, majority of the schools are left without Hindi teachers which would adversely affect the academic career of the students.
