Hindi teachers urged to promote Hindi in Nagaland

Jalukie, September 28 (DIPR): Additional Secretary, School Education Department, G. Kivishe Phuchu has urged the Hindi teachers in Nagaland to promote Hindi in the State. Stressing on the importance of Hindi, he stated that “we” all should learn Hindi.  

He was speaking at the 23rd State level Hindi Diwas (Hindi Day), which was organized by All Nagaland Hindi Teachers Union (ANHTU), Peren unit on September 27 at St. Xavier Higher Secondary School’s auditorium in Jalukie.  

Guest of honour, District Education Officer of Peren, Toshimenla Imchen said that teachers play an important role and asked the teachers present to let the students realize the importance of Hindi.  

Short speeches were also delivered by Rometo, President ANHTU and SDEO Peren.   Other highlights of the day included opening song and folk dance by Heraka Vidya Bharti School B Jalukie, dance by students of GHSS Jalukie, welcome speech by President, ANHTU Peren unit, Rangwam Zeliang, and speech on the importance of Hindi Day by Thunbui Zeliang.  

As part of the celebration, a debate and essay competition was held at GHSS Jalukie on September 26. The topic for the debate was ‘Advantages and disadvantages of internet’. The winners were Amos Pradhan, GHSS Jalukie (First); Keyirenialule, Christian School, Jalukie (Second); Keyizaisaple and Jeevan Prathan from Christian School and GHSS Jalukie respectively (Third). The winners of the essay competition held on the topic ‘Pollution’ were Rupkia, GHSS Jalukie (First); Nadir Uddin, GHSS Jalukie (Second); and Ashia Parmeen, GHSS Jalukie (Third).
